Worldview Travel acquires Atlanta-based Century Travel

TORONTO – Toronto-based Worldview Travel has announced the acquisition of Century Travel based in Atlanta, Georgia, effective as of July 1, 2016. Century Travel, a leading travel advisory company, has sales in excess of US$54 million and is a member of Virtuoso.

Cheryl Nicholson, executive vice president, Leisure and Loyalty, Worldview Travel, said: “The acquisition of Century Travel fits perfectly with our team of top luxury agencies and renowned travel advisors. Worldview has steadily built world-class booking tools, finance and HR support, an air ticketing team, and strong industry relations. This has created a win-win opportunity for agency owners who want to stay engaged in the business, but take a step back from the day-to-day operational challenges. We’re thrilled to partner with a company that represents the highest quality in luxury leisure travel.”

Gene Lashley, founder of Century Travel, also added: “The entire Century team is excited to have new parents who can offer us many industry leading innovations as we continue to grow and prosper. Our advisors will now have amazing new tools to enable them to work smarter, maximize their earnings, and benefit from the extensive resources available only through being a member of the Worldview Travel family.”

Worldview Travel, the world’s second largest Virtuoso agency, specializes in both corporate and luxury leisure travel and has offices in Canada, the U.S. and Bermuda. It is rapidly expanding its 500-strong network of ICs, investing in new verticals and actively acquiring agencies. To learn more go to worldviewtravel.com.
