Talma Travel Solutions enters Canada with acquisition of Plus Travel Group

NEW YORK — Talma Travel Solutions is entering Canada with the acquisition of Plus Travel Group, marking its first move into the Canadian market.

The deal gives the global travel management company a foothold in Canada and strengthens its North American presence, while bringing together two companies focused on dedicated account management and technology-driven business travel solutions.

Plus Travel Group brings established Canadian client relationships and local market expertise to Talma’s global network, while gaining access to Talma’s international capabilities, technology, resources and portfolio of travel solutions.

“Over the past four years, we have made a series of strategic investments and acquisitions across travel services and technology, building a stronger global platform and positioning Talma to set a new standard for the customer experience,” said Iya Magen, CEO of Talma Travel Solutions.

“Plus Travel Group shares our commitment to exceptional client service, proactive account management, and innovative technology. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and delighted to welcome the Plus Travel Group team and clients to the wider Talma family.”

EXPANDING BUSINESS TRAVEL CAPABILITIES

Both companies offer customized corporate travel programs supported by dedicated account management and technology-enabled booking, policy compliance, reporting and cost optimization.

Traveller care is also a shared priority, with both companies providing 24/7 support to help travellers and businesses manage changes, disruptions and complex itineraries around the world.

Beyond corporate travel, Talma and Plus Travel Group have expertise in leisure travel, groups, meetings and events. The companies say the combination of Talma’s international scale and Plus Travel Group’s Canadian market expertise will create opportunities to expand the services available to clients across North America and other key markets.

For Plus Travel Group, the acquisition provides an opportunity to build on its focus on personalized service while giving clients access to greater resources and a broader global network.

Jeffrey Verman, CEO of Plus Travel Group, will continue to lead the company following the acquisition.

“Our partnership with Talma Travel Solutions marks an exciting new chapter for our team and our clients,” said Verman. “It strengthens our global reach, enhances our collective buying power, and expands the solutions and resources we can offer, while creating new opportunities for continued growth.”

Talma expects to announce additional strategic acquisitions in the coming months as it continues to expand its geographic reach and capabilities.
