TORONTO — Goway has launched a new 10-day Egypt itinerary built around the total solar eclipse taking place Aug. 2, 2027.
‘Chasing Totality: Egypt & Red Sea Solar Eclipse’ combines eclipse viewing on Egypt’s Red Sea coast with stays in Cairo and Marsa Alam, as well as guided visits to some of the country’s best-known historic sites.
The itinerary includes an exclusive eclipse viewing event at Akassia Marsa Alam’s Roman-style theatre, where travellers are expected to experience more than five minutes of total darkness.
Guests will spend five nights at a deluxe resort in Marsa Alam and four nights at a deluxe hotel in Cairo. The trip also includes Egyptologist-led tours of the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Pyramids of Giza, Khan el-Khalili Bazaar and other Cairo landmarks.
“While many Nile cruise eclipse programs are already sold out or offer extremely limited availability, Goway has developed an exciting alternative on the Red Sea coast that travel advisors can sell with confidence,” says Bronwyn Hodge, VP, Africa & Middle East at Goway.
“Rather than treating the eclipse as a standalone sightseeing event, Goway’s itinerary combines Cairo’s iconic landmarks with five nights at a Red Sea resort and an exclusive hosted viewing experience at Akassia Marsa Alam’s Roman-style theatre. The result is a more relaxed and immersive way to experience this extraordinary event and explore the wonders of Egypt.”
TRAVEL ADVISOR INCENTIVE
Travel advisors can also earn $50 in bonus rewards through the GowayPro Loyalty Program on all Egypt bookings made during September, including Chasing Totality.
Goway says it has secured a limited allocation for the 2027 eclipse itinerary and is encouraging advisors to book clients early while space remains available.
