TORONTO — Canadian travel advisors looking to boost their destination expertise – and potentially experience Costa Rica firsthand – are being encouraged to register for the Costa Rica Specialist Program.

Running from today, July 20, through Aug. 31, 2026, and offered by the Costa Rica Tourism Board, the online training program is designed to give advisors the knowledge and confidence to sell one of the world’s most popular nature and adventure destinations.

The self-paced course explores Costa Rica’s diverse tourism offerings, from its renowned beaches, rainforests and wildlife to its luxury accommodations, wellness experiences, adventure tourism, cultural attractions and leadership in sustainable travel.

Upon completing the program, advisors will become certified Costa Rica Specialists. Plus, those who successfully complete the program by Aug. 31 will automatically be entered into a draw to win one of two spots on an exclusive Costa Rica FAM trip scheduled for late September 2026.

The FAM will give the winning advisors an opportunity to experience the destination firsthand, visit some of Costa Rica’s most iconic regions, connect with local tourism partners and gain valuable product knowledge that can be translated into future bookings.
