TORONTO — Intrepid Travel has new Premium trips and experiences along with booking data for June 2026 – the company’s biggest June ever from the North American market.
New bookings this month are up 30% year over year, says Leigh Barnes, Intrepid’s President of the Americas. Much of the credit goes to Intrepid’s travel industry distribution channels, including travel advisors. Bookings from the trade are up 61% and 43% in Canada and the U.S., respectively. The company also reports 126% year-over-year growth in North America for the company’s Tailor-Made custom trips.
“June is shaping up to be a record-setting month for Intrepid in North America, driven in large part by continued growth across our industry channels. Travellers are ready to book and willing to invest but they’re being more intentional about the trips they choose,” says Barnes.
“We’re thrilled that travel advisors see Intrepid as a perfect fit for travellers seeking more meaningful experiences. Plus, our expanded Premium line gives travel advisors a timely way to address clients who want a more elevated experience, but with the ease and confidence that comes from having all the logistics taken care of.”
Forward bookings are also strong, with bookings into 2027 up 44% year-over-year while customer growth is up 37% for the same period.
NEW PREMIUM TRIPS
Intrepid’s rapidly expanding Premium range includes three new itineraries in Greenland, Norway and Costa Rica.
Premium is the company’s most comfortable travel style, offering handpicked feature stays, exceptional included experiences and enhanced service throughout the trip. Intrepid now offers over 100 Premium trips across six continents and 62 countries, and Intrepid’s Premium range grew 19% YOY in 2025.
According to Intrepid’s research of more than 8,000 travellers across Canada, Australia, the UK and U.S., 70% of travellers place greater value on holidays where planning, logistics and other stressors are taken care of for them.

The new eight-day Premium Greenland trip will be Intrepid’s second land-based tour in the country. Travellers stay at a remote eco-lodge perched on rocky hillsides overlooking the sea near the UNESCO-listed Ilulissat Icefjord. A boat excursion to Eqi Glacier has travellers cruising past drifting icebergs and ice walls.
On the eight-day Premium Costa Rica – Tortuguero and the Caribbean Coast trip, guests stay at rainforest eco-lodge, Tortuga Lodge, and visit a permaculture farm to harvest fresh ingredients. There’s also a chance to join a local family for a traditional Afro-Caribbean cooking experience.
The eight-day Premium Norwegian Fjords trip features a stay in the sea houses of Knutholmen, a historic Nordic fishing village, and a floating sauna experience.

NEW SIGNATURE EXPERIENCES
Intrepid has also added more than 50 new signature experiences to its Premium range amid surging demand.
Intrepid’s GM, Experiences, Erica Kritikides, says: “We’re seeing strong demand from travellers who want to explore the world in greater comfort, without sacrificing the local connections and authentic experiences that make travel meaningful. Our Premium style brings together our most experienced local leaders, handpicked feature stays and carefully curated inclusions, taking the stress out of travel while delivering exceptional and distinct experiences that leverage Intrepid’s extensive global networks.”
On the 15-day Premium Vietnam in Depth trip, there’s an after-hours visit to the UNESCO-listed My Son Sanctuary with a Cham researcher and conservationist. On the eight-day Premium Spain trip, travellers get exclusive access to the private workshop of an Andalusian imagery sculptor.
The new itineraries are available to book now for departures starting May 2027.
