Codeshare agreement for Porter Airlines and British Airways

TORONTO — Porter Airlines and British Airways have signed a codeshare agreement.

In an announcement from British Airways, the carrier notes its passengers will now have seamless access to travel on selected Porter domestic routes. British Airways travellers will be able to book flights under BA’s code to 17 destinations in Canada, connecting from the British Airways network when travelling to or from London via Toronto or Montreal.

Porter’s SVP and and Chief Commercial Officer, Edmond Eldebs, said: “It is our pleasure to welcome British Airways customers to the Porter experience. This codeshare agreement reflects our shared commitment to making travel seamless and enjoyable. More travellers have the opportunity to discover more of Canada the Porter way, with elevated service and comfort that we’re known for. We look forward to a strong and growing partnership.”

Neil Chernoff, Chief Planning and Strategy Officer at British Airways, added: “We are delighted to launch this codeshare with Porter Airlines, aning British Airways customers can now book flights on Porter Airlines’ network with convenience and ease. This agreement makes travel between London and Canada even easier, offering more options and flexibility. British Airwaysʻ codeshare flights with Porter are available to book now, for travel from July 8. Porter spokesperson Brad Cicero told Travelweek that for now only British Airways is selling the codeshare flights, and Porter will introduce distribution in the coming months.
