SEATTLE — Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP) has introduced new technology capabilities designed to help travel advisors and agencies streamline back-office operations, reduce manual work and better integrate booking data into their existing systems.

The updates include a new back-office API and a feature that allows advisors to add their own internal reference codes to bookings. According to Expedia TAAP, the enhancements are intended to improve tracking, reporting and reconciliation of bookings and expected earnings while supporting more efficient agency operations.

The new back-office API provides real-time, push-based notifications for booking and expected earnings data. Expedia TAAP says the capability enables travel agencies and operations technology providers to integrate Expedia TAAP data directly into operational and financial systems.

Previously, agencies often relied on multiple tools and reporting processes to reconcile bookings and track expected earnings. With the new API, booking and earnings updates can be delivered automatically into agency systems through a single data feed, helping agencies manage activity and keep itineraries up to date.

At the same time, Expedia TAAP has introduced the ability for advisors to add agency reference codes to organize and track bookings across clients, trips and internal systems. Previously, agencies had limited ways to link related bookings, often relying on manual notes or external tracking tools. 

Expedia TAAP says the two enhancements work together to support workflow integration across booking, reporting and financial management processes. For agencies, this means fewer manual touchpoints, improved operational visibility and enhanced support customer service
