Flair promotes Captain Matthew Kunz to Chief Operating Officer

EDMONTON — Flair Airlines has appointed Captain Matthew Kunz as its new Chief Operating Officer.

The long-time company executive has held several senior leadership positions during his tenure, including Chief Pilot and Vice President, Flight Operations. According to Flair, he has helped strengthen operational performance, enhance safety oversight and support the airline’s growth plans.

“Matthew has been with Flair Airlines for more than eight years and has played a key role in our growth,” said Len Corrado, CEO of Flair Airlines. “He is a respected leader with an unwavering commitment to operational excellence. As we continue to grow, Captain Kunz’s leadership will help ensure we remain focused on delivering for our customers and connecting Canadians to the people and moments that matter most.”

According to the airline, Kunz brings extensive experience in airline operations, aviation safety and regulatory compliance, along with a strong understanding of the Canadian aviation landscape and Transport Canada’s regulatory framework.
