TORONTO — Dazzling fireworks, brilliant pyrotechnics and cascades of confetti lit up Rogers Stadium for the high-energy Bruno Mars concert Sunday evening.
The upbeat concert marked the start of his five-show run in Toronto for ‘The Romantic Tour,’ which was attended by a select group of enthusiastic travel advisors and trade media.
The event, hosted by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) – represented in Canada by Reach Global Marketing – brought a dose of Vegas-inspired energy.
“Tonight’s about saying thank you to our travel partners for their invaluable support,” as Diego Gantiva, account representative for Canada at Reach Global Marketing, told Travelweek.
Travel advisors secured their seats through the Las Vegas Insiders Club program, which acknowledges the top travel advisors across Canada by offering exclusive perks and memorable events.
Fans came from far and wide to see Mars perform at the evening’s sold-out show, which initially kicked off in Las Vegas – the entertainment capital of the world – in April as part of his 2026 tour.

‘PACK FOR VEGAS’ CAMPAIGN
On the heels of IPW in Fort Lauderdale this month, which Travelweek attended, Visit Las Vegas debuted its six new ‘Pack for Vegas’ campaign spots, created by acclaimed filmmaker Jody Hill.
The campaign celebrates the fun and unpredictable energy that starts before visitors arrive and that made ‘What Happens Here, Stays Here’ a cultural phenomenon.
“Las Vegas is the ultimate summer getaway because there’s excitement around every part of the experience, even before you arrive,” said Kate Wik, Chief Marketing Officer for Visit Las Vegas.
“The new ‘Pack for Vegas’ campaign taps into the excitement and imagination that people experience when planning their trip. The adverts are playful, unexpected and distinctly Vegas.”
BLOCKBUSTER SUMMER LINEUP
The ‘Pack for Vegas’ campaign launches alongside a blockbuster summer lineup filled with only-in-Vegas experiences.
Canadian visitors can look forward to major entertainment residencies this year, including No Doubt and Backstreet Boys at Sphere, Kelly Clarkson at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and Mary J. Blige and New Kids on the Block at Dolby Live at Park MGM.
The summer calendar also features global stadium tours from BTS, Ed Sheeran, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC and Karol G at Allegiant Stadium, plus nonstop day-to-night events across the destination.

FIREWORKS CELEBRATIONS
In addition to a dynamic concert lineup, Las Vegas will celebrate America250 with eight consecutive Saturdays of fireworks designed and produced by Fireworks by Grucci, beginning at 9 p.m. PDT on June 6 and continuing through July 25.
The synchronized fireworks show lasts 8 minutes each week, making it the largest summer fireworks display in the US, transforming The Strip and Downtown Las Vegas into a citywide celebration.
“Las Vegas is always a hot ticket for summer travel, and this year, the celebrations will reach new heights,” said Steve Hill, President and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (Visit Las Vegas).
Celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with fireworks lighting up the skyline alongside everything visitors expect from a city that’s all in all the time, from A-list entertainment to high-energy pool parties, and all-inclusive deals for visitors, Las Vegas is shaping up into a top-notch summer celebration option.
“Add it all together, and there’s never been a better time to ‘pack for Vegas’.”
