VoX International Inc., a leading destination marketing firm, provides effective sales, marketing and public relation solutions to Tourism and Hospitality clients.
We are looking for a dynamic, independent Account Manager – The position is based in Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the travel trade activities of designated VoX clients within the Canadian market.
Responsibilities:
- Development of strategic trade and marketing plan for the Canadian market
- Serve as point contact and relationship management of client portfolio
- Management of marketing and administration budgets
- Market observation, recognition of trends and integration of activities
- Develop Trade activities including planning, organization and escorting of fam trips, attend trade/consumer shows & travel trade events
- Develop trade relationships and co-op marketing programs with partner airlines, tour operators, OTA’s and retail travel agency groups
- Administrative duties including reporting
- Product training
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven travel industry experience preferably in an account manager role
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
- Established contacts with major Canadian airlines, tour operators and retail agency groups
- A strategic thinker who can translate business goals into actionable plans and measurable results
- Planning and lead of client sales missions
- Outstanding public speaking, presentation and training skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English; French and Spanish an asset
- Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- The ability to travel and work flexible hours
- Use of a vehicle
- Have a passion for the industry
