TORONTO — G Adventures is honouring the late Dr. Jane Goodall with a renewed 10-year partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada.
Announced April 3, 2026, the milestone coincides with what would have been Goodall’s 92nd birthday and what is now officially recognized as ‘Jane Goodall Day’. The extended partnership, endorsed by Goodall prior to her passing, reinforces a shared commitment to conservation, wildlife protection and community-led initiatives around the world.
G Adventures first launched the Jane Goodall Collection in 2016.
The extended collaboration will continue to support the Jane Goodall Collection of trips, a portfolio of 19 itineraries across 16 destinations including Borneo, the Galapagos Islands, Uganda, Botswana, Costa Rica and Antarctica. Each itinerary carries a legacy endorsement from Goodall herself, and like all G Adventures tours, upholds the company’s Animal Welfare Policy, ensuring travellers can experience the natural world while respecting the species that call it home.
A portion of each booking will go toward supporting the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada, funding conservation programs and initiatives that aim to protect wildlife and improve local livelihoods.
“We are thrilled to be extending our historic and impactful partnership with G Adventures. Together, we are making a positive and lasting difference for animals, people and the environment, as we continue to carry Dr. Jane’s legacy forward,” says Bella Lam, Chief Executive Officer of the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada.
LESSONS FROM DR. GOODALL
G Adventures founder Bruce Poon Tip reflected on his long-standing relationship with Goodall, including a final in-person meeting in late 2025.
“Jane was a huge inspiration to me personally, a great friend and a Global Ambassador for G Adventures,” says Poon Tip. “Our conversations over the years provided me with many lessons, some of which I am sharing with our travellers today in memory of Jane. Our last in-person meeting, just a few weeks before she passed, showed Jane continuing to champion and advocate for the change we need to see in the world.”
Drawing on those conversations, Poon Tip highlighted three lessons that continue to shape both his personal outlook and the company’s approach to travel:
- We all have a choice in the impact we make: “Jane often reminded us that every single day, we choose the kind of difference we make in the world. I call on our global community of travellers to think about what that action looks like when they travel and how they can leave a positive mark on the places and people they encounter.”
- Understanding creates compassion – and action: “Jane believe that when people see the world with their own eyes, they begin to care. Travel has the power to build empathy and inspire people to protect what they might otherwise never understand.”
- Hope is a powerful force for change: “Despite the challenges facing our planet, Jane never lost hope. She believed in the resilience of nature and the ability of individuals, especially young people, to create meaningful change.”
The Jane Goodall Collection features a range of itineraries, including the 22-day Falklands, South Georgia & Antarctica, the 11-day Southern Africa Family Journey: In Search of the Big Five , the seven-day Galápagos Express Adventure: Wilderness & Wildlife and the eight-day Uganda to Rwanda: Gorilla Treks & Safari Drives .
