TORONTO — HX Expeditions is strengthening its commitment to the Canadian market with the introduction of Canadian dollar pricing, alongside a major anniversary promotion and expanded engagement with the travel trade.
The new CAD pricing option Canadian guests and travel advisors to book expedition voyages in either Canadian or U.S. dollars, addressing ongoing concerns around currency fluctuations and pricing clarity.
“Offering pricing in Canadian dollars strengthens our commitment to the Canadian market,” said Carla Brake, Senior Director of Sales, Americas at HX Expeditions, who is based in Toronto. “It gives our advisor partners greater clarity when quoting voyages and allows travellers to plan their expedition with the confidence and convenience of booking in their local currency.”
Bookings in Canadian dollars are available through HX’s Guest Excellence (GX) team by phone at 866-312-6791, while the company’s website will continue to display pricing in U.S. dollars.
CANADIAN FOCUS RAMPS UP
The launch comes as HX increases its investment in Canada through trade engagement and advisor support. The company is currently in the midst of its largest-ever North American roadshow, with Canadian stops already held in Calgary on March 19 and an upcoming event scheduled for Toronto on April 22.
The roadshow connects advisors directly with HX leadership and expedition specialists, offering destination insights, product updates and practical selling strategies. HX Expeditions Ambassador Alex McNeil, based in Toronto, is also participating. With nearly 200 expedition voyages completed worldwide, McNeil brings extensive firsthand experience to the sessions.
The company’s focus on the trade follows strong growth across the Americas, including a 31% increase in sales in 2025 driven by a 57% rise in travel advisor bookings.
Supporting this growth, HX is modernizing its booking platform with new marketing tools and has also doubled its Americas Guest Excellence team. Alex McNeil, who previously led HX’s product design as Chief Expedition Officer, has joined as the company’s Toronto-based HX Expeditions Ambassador. With nearly 200 expeditions worldwide, including 14 to the North Pole, under his belt, McNeil has been instrumental in developing community-led experiences across Greenland and Arctic Canada, working directly with Inuit partners to highlight responsible travel.
