Glasgow takes centre stage in Visit Britain webinar, March 24

TORONTO — Glasgow will be front and centre during tomorrow’s excusive webinar hosted by VisitBritain.

Taking place March 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., ET, the online session invites travel advisors to learn how the beloved city serves as the perfect gateway to discovering the best of Scotland.

Known for its breathtaking landscapes, historic castles, legendary golf courses and vibrant cities, Scotland is set to take centre stage this year with the arrival of the Commonwealth Games. Participating advisors will learn about must-see destinations and attractions, along with travel tips and itinerary ideas that take clients to Glasgow and beyond.

According to VisitBritain, 2026 is expected to be a strong year for Canadian visitation, thanks in large part to convenient airlift.

“Canadian travellers exhibit a significant interest in visiting Scotland. In fact, 16% of our total travel visits are directed toward this remarkable destination, highlighting its popularity among Canadians,” said Dhankher.

“The WestJet Toronto to Glasgow route between Canada and Scotland is expected to further strengthen these travel ties. With this additional gateway, it is anticipated that the number of Canadian visitors to Scotland will continue to rise in the coming years, enhancing the already robust connection between the two nations.”
