TORONTO — A brand new contest courtesy of VisitBritain, WestJet and RIT, and running in Travelweek Daily and Travelweek, offers one lucky travel advisor the chance to get away from it all – wouldn’t that be nice right now? – with a prize trip to Scotland.
Kicking off today, March 9, and running through March 31, the contest shines a spotlight on Scotland’s biggest city, Glasgow. Just an hour from Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle, Glasgow offers easy access to Scotland’s top natural and historic sites.
Not only is Glasgow gearing up to host the 2026 Commonwealth Games this summer, it’s also getting ready to welcome WestJet’s new flights from Toronto.
WestJet will offer four weekly flights between YYZ and GLA starting May 15 and running through September, picking up the popular route after a four-year hiatus.
The prize package includes …
- Roundtrip airfare for two in Economy cabin with WestJet to Glasgow
- Seven nights accommodation in Scotland (i.e. six nights in B&Bs anywhere in Scotland and one night in a four-star centrally located Glasgow hotel
- Seven day car rental, with pick up and drop off at GLA
- Breakfast daily
- Itinerary planning and suggestions from the experts at RIT
As VisitBritain’s Director, Canada, Cathy Stapells, tells Travelweek, “Glasgow is a terrific gateway to explore the rest of Scotland, with its incredible arts and culture, history, heritage and food & drink. We’re very excited for the WestJet Glasgow-Toronto flight making it even more convenient for Canadians to travel to Scotland.”
