Air Tahiti opens bookings for 100% Business Class flights

TORONTO — Air Tahiti has opened reservations for a new “100% Business Class” service on select inter-island flights to Bora Bora and Raiatea–Tahaa, introducing what it says is a first-of-its-kind offering on regularly scheduled commercial flights.

Bookings opened Dec. 10, 2025, for flights operated by a specially configured ATR 72-600 aircraft dedicated entirely to business class travel. The service is designed to elevate the inter-island flying experience in French Polynesia, combining premium comfort with Polynesian-inspired design and personalized service.

The new aircraft, scheduled for delivery in December 2026, will operate flights to Bora Bora and to Raiatea, as well as its neighbouring island of Tahaa.

“We are launching a completely new travel experience. This ATR 72-600 ‘Air Tahiti Signature’ All-Business Class reflects our ambition to provide an exclusive service that begins at passenger checkin, with a fully redesigned customer journey and unmatched ground services for an unforgettable inter-island trip. It is about creating a connection between modernity, comfort, Polynesian hospitality, and sustainability — values that define Air Tahiti,” said Edouard Wong Fat, CEO of Air Tahiti.

Configured with just 26 business class seats in a 1-1 layout, the ATR 72-600 ensures that every passenger enjoys a window seat with direct aisle access. The configuration also allows couples to enjoy a private row, while offering unobstructed views of lagoons and islands throughout the journey.

Seats are custom-designed “ETEREA” models by Italian manufacturer Geven, offering a width of 55 centimetres, comparable to long-haul business class, along with a 100-centimetre seat pitch and 18-centimetre recline. Each seat includes a personal side table, individual storage and USB A and C ports. In-flight entertainment is accessible on passengers’ personal devices, featuring a selection of local and international content.

The cabin interior draws inspiration from Polynesian wayfinding traditions, paying tribute to the ancient navigators of the region. Design elements include fine wood finishes, premium carpeting and decorative accents influenced by Polynesian culture. The aircraft also features ATR’s HighLine cabin, with an executive-style ceiling designed to enhance the sense of space, light and refinement.

The exterior of the aircraft features a special livery inspired by celestial navigation, incorporating traditional Polynesian tattoo motifs that celebrate voyaging canoes and the stars. The design was created in collaboration with the Tahiti Center of Arts and Crafts, which trains young Polynesians in traditional and contemporary art forms.

Beyond comfort, Air Tahiti highlights the environmental performance of the ATR aircraft, noting that it emits approximately 45% less CO2 than a jet of similar size, aligning the premium offering with sustainability goals.

The aircraft is part of Air Tahiti’s “Air Tahiti Signature” concept, which extends beyond the onboard experience to include priority ground handling, personalized service and access to dedicated lounges in Tahiti and Bora Bora. On board, crews deliver attentive service with exclusive refreshments, reflecting Polynesian hospitality throughout the journey.

This aircraft is one of four ATR 72-600s ordered by Air Tahiti at the Farnborough International Airshow in July 2024 as part of its fleet renewal program. The first aircraft joined the fleet in June 2025, with two additional deliveries scheduled for 2027 and 2028.
