Riu Jalisco reopens following a full refurbishment

RIVIERA NAYARIT — RIU Hotels & Resorts has reopened the doors of Riu Jalisco in Riviera Nayarit, following an extensive transformation.

With the reopening RIU Hotels & Resorts says itʻs reaffirms its commitment to Riviera Nayarit, where it has made significant investments in recent years. Other recent refurbishments in the region include Riu Vallarta (2019) and Riu Palace Pacifico (2023).

At Riu Jalisco, work was carried out to extend the hotel and add 120 rooms in a newly constructed area. Riu Jalisco now has a total of 820 completely renovated rooms. Riu Jalisco also now offers a new type of room with capacity for up to six guests.

The resort now offers new dining options, plus a new kidsʻ zone that includes a splash pad with slides.

The renovated hotel has six swimming pools. Two are designed specifically for kids, with games and slides. The other four that can be enjoyed by the whole family. The family pools have all been newly built along the seafront, and the largest has a bar service, and the second boasts a swim-up bar. The remaining two are designed for relaxation and sports activities, respectively.

 

Riu Jalisco also now has a Sports Bar, plus two F&B concepts that RIU is adding to all refurbished and new hotels: the American Country restaurant, where guests can enjoy a selection of classic American dishes, and the Candy ice cream parlour. Existing dining options on-site include the Don Gabriel buffet restaurant and four specialty restaurants: the Steak House, the Asian restaurant Sakura, the Mexican restaurant Agave, and the Italian restaurant Duomo. There are also two more informal dining options: Pepe’s Food grill station and the Tiki Taco taco stand.

Family-friendly RIU Party events are of course held every Friday at the hotel.
