Jamaica Tourist Board partners with Harmonies of Hope for hurricane relief concert

TORONTO — The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is partnering with Harmonies of Hope to present a special fundraising concert in support of recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa.

The event aims to bring together music, culture and community spirit to assist residents in the hardest-hit areas of Jamaica as rebuilding continues across the island.

Taking place on Dec. 10, 2025, at the Meridian Arts Centre in North York, the concert will feature performances by Shawn Jones, Quisha Wint, Jully Black, Mark Steele and Renee Rowe. The artists will deliver moving renditions of Bob Marley’s iconic catalogue, offering an evening themed around resilience, unity and the enduring strength of Jamaican culture.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the performance will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m., followed by a reception. Tickets will be priced at $150 and available through Ticketmaster.ca in the coming days.

Supporting long-term rebuilding

All proceeds from the event will directly support recovery initiatives in areas of Jamaica most affected by Hurricane Melissa, contributing to infrastructure repairs, community support programs and the rebuilding of critical services across the island.

Companies and corporations interested in sponsorship opportunities are encouraged to contact Natasha Borota at natasha@itfactor.biz.

The JTB also extended its appreciation to the Meridian Arts Centre for donating venue space and to Ticketmaster for providing the ticketing platform.
