CANCUN — AIC Hotel Group rolled out the red carpet for nearly 200 of its top-selling travel advisors at its annual Showstopper Awards at the oceanfront AVA Resort Cancun.
The three-day celebration recognized the company’s highest-producing partners and also showcased over 20 tour operator partners from Canada and the United States.
This year’s event once again included a signature awards gala dinner and ceremony, as well as an after-party featuring a special live performance by six-time Grammy Award nominated songwriter and rapper B.o.B.
To attend the invitation-only event, attendees had to earn Platinum sales status or higher the previous year. The Black Diamond Awards went to top advisors who sold more than 500 room nights across AIC Hotel Group’s exclusive portfolio of luxury all-inclusive properties in Mexico and the Caribbean.
“We are pleased not only with the strong turnout we had at this year’s event, but with the overall growth we are seeing in all-inclusive hotel sales throughout Canada, and the outlook is especially strong in markets like Toronto and Vancouver,” said Ash Tembe, Vice President of North American Sales.
This year’s Rising Star award went to Transat, while Air Canada Vacations took home two awards for Top Overall Tour Operator Sales Canada and Top Field Sales Support Canada.
Preparations for the 2026 Showstopper Awards, which will be held in Punta Cana, are already underway. More details will be announced shortly. Qualifying room nights, whether from groups, weddings, MICE or individual bookings, count towards next year’s Showstopper Awards eligibility.
