Curaçao Tourist Board’s ‘sip & paint’ gathering brings cheer to Toronto

TORONTO — Travel industry professionals were invited to ‘Sip in the Slow Life’ at the Curaçao Tourist Board’s recent event.

The evening get-together, hosted by the tourist board at Baro Rooftop in downtown Toronto, featured a fun ‘sip & paint’ immersive activity with award-winning artist (and Curaçao resident) Bagira.

There were also cocktails and island-inspired bites.

Last year Curaçao hit a major milestone, after the island exceeded 700,000 stayover arrivals for the year.

The grand total for 2024 was 700,249 stayover arrivals, “a remarkable achievement,” said the tourist board. There were also 35,499 day-trippers and 834,922 cruise passengers, for a total of 1,570,670 tourist arrivals, a YOY increase of 20%.

“Now easier than ever to get to with expanded nonstop flights on both Air Canada and WestJet, Curaçao is a must-visit destination for 2026 full of rich cultural events, vibrant festivals, new hotels and villas, and much more,” says the tourist board. See Curacao.com.
