TORONTO — Grenada has earned a new distinction in global luxury travel, with three of its premier resorts featured in the inaugural 2025 Global MICHELIN Key Hotel Guide.
The recognition marks the first time the tri-island nation has had multiple properties included in the guide, reflecting its growing influence in luxury travel and hospitality.
Calabash Hotel has been awarded Two MICHELIN Keys, distinguishing it among an elite selection of properties worldwide. Joining it on the prestigious list are Six Senses La Sagesse and Spice Island Beach Resort, each receiving One Key.

The inclusion of all three resorts underscores Grenada’s evolution into a world-class destination for travellers seeking authenticity, refined service and bespoke luxury, said Stacey Liburd, CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority.
“This is a tribute to the vision and dedication of our hoteliers, hospitality professionals and our island’s identity. These beloved properties have worked tirelessly to create not just a luxurious escape – but an elegant home away from home that represents the warmth, passion, and friendliness Grenada is known for,” she said.
“These accolades don’t just elevate the hotels, but our tri-island state. We are standing shoulder to shoulder with the world’s most popular destinations due to our unique blend of Caribbean hospitality and exceptional offerings, and we look forward to welcoming more travelers seeking authenticity, cultural richness and purposeful luxury,” added Liburd.
The MICHELIN Key, much like the MICHELIN Star for restaurants, is awarded to hotels that demonstrate exceptional design, hospitality and guest experience. Its introduction represents a new benchmark in global accommodation standards.
Calabash Hotel, located on the tranquil shores of Prickly Bay, embodies understated Caribbean sophistication. The family-owned Relais & Châteaux property offers 30 bespoke suites and villas surrounded by lush gardens, three restaurants including the renowned Rhodes Restaurant, and a serene spa. Known for personal service and culinary excellence, Calabash has long been a fixture in the Caribbean’s boutique luxury scene. A recent expansion adding six new luxury suites will further enhance its offerings. Nightly room rates start at US$753, including breakfast.
Six Senses La Sagesse has established itself as a haven of sustainable design and modern elegance. Nestled between a hillside and a quiet bay, the resort features 71 pool suites and villas with panoramic views and open-air layouts. Dining is central to the experience, with venues such as SeaFire and Callaloo celebrating Grenada’s bounty of seafood, produce and spices. Nightly rates start at $721, including breakfast.
Spice Island Beach Resort on Grand Anse Beach, known for its style and serenity, offers 64 villa-style suites that blend barefoot luxury with thoughtful details, including private terraces, plunge pools and ocean views. Nightly rates start at $1,479, including breakfast.
