TORONTO — Globus is growing its popular Small Group Discovery collection for 2026, introducing three new itineraries in Europe and bringing the total number of tours worldwide to 61.
The Small Group Discovery program was designed for travellers seeking more intimate and immersive journeys. With groups averaging just 15 people in Europe, the tours focus on flexibility, access and authentic encounters.
“Smaller groups mean more freedom, more flexibility and more unforgettable moments,” said Steve Born, chief marketing officer for the Globus family of brands. “With an average of just 15 travellers in Europe, our Small Group Discovery tours unlock all-access moments – like rolling up your sleeves in a Sicilian kitchen or sipping wine with family vintners – that simply can’t happen in a crowd. These are the experiences that move you, connect you and stay with you forever.”
For 2026, the new tours include:
- Ireland Unveiled: Beyond the Blarney– A 10-day trip from Dublin that combines iconic sights with local experiences. Highlights include baking scones and meeting sheepdogs at Rathbaun Farm, sipping whiskey on a guided tour of the Old Midleton Distillery, taking a ferry to Cape Clear Island, and enjoying a medieval banquet at Bunratty Castle.
- Gems of Sicily & Malta – A 10-day itinerary beginning in Palermo, designed to blend history with food culture. Guests will participate in a Sicilian street food cooking class, enjoy a rustic farm dinner with live music in Catania, and travel by catamaran to Malta. Stops include Monreale Cathedral and a hands-on farewell feast with a professional chef.
- Soul of Portugal– An eight-day journey from Lisbon to Porto that highlights traditional food, wine and local crafts. Travellers can sample Lisbon’s ginjinha liqueur, enjoy a private winery visit in Monsaraz, taste olive oil on a local estate, and take part in a sardine canning workshop in Porto.
Alongside the expanded Small Group Discovery program, Globus and its sister brand Cosmos are also rolling out new Classic tours in Europe for 2026.
Globus will offer the Turkish Sampler, an eight-day journey that includes Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia, the Gallipoli battlefields, the ruins of Troy, the archaeological sites of Ephesus, and the travertine terraces of Pamukkale.
Cosmos will launch the Scenic Slovenia & Croatia itinerary, an eight-day trip from Ljubljana to Dubrovnik. Highlights include Plitvice National Park, UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace in Split, oysters in Ston, and the historic Old Town of Dubrovnik.
