NEW YORK CITY — Erik Blachford has joined Fora Travel’s board of directors.
Blachford brings his experience on the founding team at Expedia as President then CEO, and as CEO of IAC Travel, Terrapass, and Butterfield & Robinson.
Blachford is also on the boards of Zillow and Peloton and also invests in startups through Blachford Capital, with a specific focus on online travel, health & fitness, and clean energy.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Erik Blachford to our board of directors,” said Evan Frank, co-founder of Fora. “Few executives bring Erik’s breadth of experience across OTAs, tour operators, and travel technology. His perspective will be invaluable as we enter our next phase of growth and continue building the next great travel platform.”
For his part, Blachford said: “I’m delighted to join the Fora team. I love the focus on empowering Fora Advisors as travel entrepreneurs, and how their booking platform enables industry suppliers to deliver their best guest experience. In a world that feels more automated by the day, it’s great to see how all sides still appreciate the personal touch in travel.”
Fora was founded in 2021 and now books over two million room nights, and reached over $1 billion in lifetime bookings. Some 97% of Fora advisors are new to industry. Fora launched in Ontario in April 2025, followed by B.C. last week.
