TORONTO — Marriott International has reached a major milestone with the opening of its 300th property in Canada — the Moxy Montreal Downtown.
Located on rue Saint-Jacques, steps from Old Montreal and bustling Sainte-Catherine and Notre-Dame streets, the hotel brings the brand’s signature playful energy to the heart of the city. Aimed at travellers seeking a vibrant, social experience, the brand is known for its check-in-at-the-bar concept, complimentary welcome cocktails, and engaging communal spaces.
Developed in partnership with RIMAP Hospitality, Moxy Montreal Downtown features 216 modern guestrooms, flexible co-working areas, and a lively restaurant, bar and lounge. This is the third Moxy hotel in Canada, joining Moxy Banff and Moxy Halifax Downtown, which both opened in 2024. Moxy Ottawa is expected to open in 2026, also with RIMAP, while Moxy Vancouver Downtown – part of a dual-branded project with Element Hotels – is set to break ground this month.
