Porter’s new year-round service to LaGuardia ex YYZ takes off

TORONTO — Porter Airlines has launched its new year-round service between Toronto Pearson and LaGuardia Airport.

The addition of LaGuardia further deepens Porter’s commitment to the New York Metropolitan Area, where the airline has operated between Newark Liberty International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport since 2008.

Porter will offer up to three daily roundtrip flights between Toronto Pearson and LaGuardia’s new Terminal B. News of the flights was first announced this past January.

“New York is an essential market for Porter, and this new service to LaGuardia complements our long-standing operation at Newark. By expanding access to a second major New York-area airport, we’re offering more convenience and increasing capacity for travellers. The combination of Billy Bishop, Pearson, LaGuardia and Newark is unique among airlines, providing a number of options for going back and forth between the two cities,” said Andrew Pierce, VP, Network Planning and Reporting, Porter Airlines.

Flights depart YYZ at 7:15 a.m., 2:50 p.m. and 7:25 p.m., arriving at LGA at 8:55 a.m., 4:30 p.m. and 9:05 p.m. respectively.

On the return leg, flights depart LGA at 6:15 a.m., 9:55 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., arriving back in Toronto at 7:55 a.m., 11:35 a.m. and 7:10 p.m. respectively.
