Jazz parent to buy Voyageur

The Halifax-based parent of Canadian regional airline Jazz Aviation – Chorus Aviation – will buy North Bay-based Voyageur Airways for $80 million. Jazz flies much of Air Canada’s regional service and Chorus said it was looking for chances to grow. Voyageur has a fleet of 18 aircraft, including Bombardier Dash 8-300s and CRJ200s.
