UNWTO, AVIAREPS sign pact to aid destinations in need of marketing

BERLIN — The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and AVIAREPS, a global leader in tourism, aviation and hospitality representation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding last week at ITB Berlin to join forces to promote international tourism to various destinations around the world in need of destination marketing assistance.

The MoU was signed by Taleb Rifai, Secretary General of the UNWTO, and AVIAREPS Chairman and CEO Michael Gaebler.

Says UNWTO Secretary-General, Taleb Rifai: “We look forward to working with AVIAREPS, a valued UNWTO Affiliate Member supporting destinations around the world improving their international presence and tourism competitiveness in the area of marketing.”

Michael Gaebler, Chairman and CEO, AVIAREPS, added: “In partnership with the UNWTO and our mutual belief in tourism as a positive driver for inclusive economic growth, AVIAREPS is excited to work diligently with our tourism and aviation partners to provide destination marketing expertise and assistance for a number of worthy recipients around the globe. Through these actions we aim to make a positive difference with tourism providing tangible results for people on the ground.”
