Carnival adds new travel agent learning game for Carnival Vista

MIAMI — Carnival has created a new travel agent learning game dedicated to its newest ship – Carnival Vista – within its collection of quick and easy  ‘Fun Games’ in Carnival Passport, the line’s comprehensive learning management system for travel agents.

Available on GoCCL.com, the new ‘Jeopardy-style’ game features 15 questions in five categories specific to Carnival Vista with subjects ranging from dining and itineraries to accommodations and outdoor spaces like WaterWorks and SportSquare.

Agents may answer questions in each category with the opportunity to earn 100, 300 or 500 ‘play points’. Upon completing the game, they will earn 10 credits within Carnival Passport. As part of the collection of Carnival’s ‘Fun Games’, the Carnival Vista game is designed to last from two to five minutes, giving time-pressed travel agents a quick and easy way to learn more about the line’s most innovative ship ever.

The game may be played multiple times and questions will change periodically to keep content fresh for players. Travel agents can also learn more about Carnival Vista by completing a new tutorial located within GoCCL.com.

“We’ve had such a positive response from travel agents regarding our collection of ‘Fun Games’ as they’ve indicated this learning tool builds their product knowledge significantly in a short amount of time, which is important to time-pressed travel agents,” said Joni Rein, Carnival’s vice president of worldwide sales. “Carnival Vista is our most innovative ship to date and is filled with so many new and exciting features, which makes this game a great way for agents to quickly build knowledge on how to sell everything this incredible vessel has to offer.”

Travel agents continually rate the line’s award-winning Carnival Adventures – the only travel agent social learning game in the industry – as a top learning tool within GoCCL.com. The 12 ‘Fun Games’ in the Carnival Passport collection are consistently ranked highest on agent feedback surveys. The games feature well-known themes such as tic-tac-toe, football and air hockey, among others. While playing ‘Fun Games’, travel agents reinforce and enhance their understanding of a variety of topics ranging from fleet and ship information to enhanced navigation of GoCCL.com.

Carnival Passport is the line’s comprehensive learning management system that houses all of Carnival’s training and education activities in one easy-to-access area within GoCCL.com. With Carnival Passport, agents may select learning activities that best suit their particular educational needs while earning credits along the way. Travel professionals can earn credits within Carnival Passport by participating in tutorials, webinars, trade shows, seminars at sea and more.

After completing various levels within Carnival Passport, agents will be issued credits, which they can convert into points applicable to the line’s Travel Agent Rewards Program. Points may be redeemed toward a wide range of prizes including Carnival logo items, $50 and $100 Visa/MasterCard gift cards, iPads and flat screen TVs.
