Air Canada finds new home at Dubai International’s Terminal 3

Air Canada’s nonstop Vancouver-Dubai service to launch Oct. 28

MONTREAL — Air Canada has announced brand new nonstop service between Vancouver and Dubai, kicking off on Oct. 28, 2023.

The new route will operate four times weekly onboard Air Canada’s flagship Dreamliner fleet. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner features three cabins of service, including Signature Class with lie-flat seats, Premium Economy and Economy Class.

Flights have also been built to conveniently connect to/from destinations in Alberta, British Columbia and the western USA via Air Canada’s hub at Vancouver International Airport (YVR).

The new Vancouver-Dubai flights will complement Air Canada’s daily service between Toronto and Dubai.

“We are extremely pleased to add the only nonstop service linking Vancouver and Dubai, two iconic and vibrant global destinations,” said Mark Galardo, Senior Vice President, Network Planning and Revenue Management, Air Canada.

“In cooperation with our codeshare and frequent flyer partner Emirates, our Vancouver-Dubai flights will connect to a multitude of destinations across the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and East Africa in Dubai, providing customers with choice and convenience while travelling for business or visiting friends and family,” he added.

Flight AC78 will depart YVR for Dubai (DXB) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 20:50 and arriving at 23:50 (+1 day), starting Oct. 28, 2023. Flight AC79 will return from DXB on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 02:00 and arriving at 05:55, starting Oct. 30, 2023.

Air Canada’s international onboard services highlight some of Canada’s best culinary talents, including Vancouver-based chefs David Hawksworth and Vikram Vij, as well as Montreal chefs Antonio Park and Jérôme Ferrer. A selection of top wines have been chosen by leading Canadian sommelier Véronique Rivest.
