Canada Jetlines now bookable via Sabre

TORONTO — Travel agents in Canada can now view and book Canada Jetlines via the Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS).

According to Canada Jetlines, which officially took off in Canada in last September, Sabre Corporation is now enabling its subscribers in Canada to view and sell the airline’s inventory.

“We are excited to be able to distribute our seats through Sabre’s extensive global marketplace. Canada Jetlines has built strong relationships with the travel agency community who will benefit from the ease of booking flights and vacations within the Sabre environment. The airline is looking forward to adding more markets and partners across North America, Mexico and the Caribbean,” said Duncan Bureau, Canada Jetlines’ Chief Commercial Officer.

John Bailey, regional general manager-North America at Sabre Travel Solutions, added: “Sabre is pleased Canada Jetlines has chosen to distribute its content through the Sabre global marketplace. We look forward to supporting Canada Jetlines’ ambitious growth objectives and making the airline’s content available to the hundreds of thousands of travel agents using Sabre around the world.”

Earlier this week, Canada Jetlines announced that it has secured a $1.5 million loan from Roosheila Group Inc. that will go towards aircraft acquisition, general corporate and working capital purposes. The airline also recently announced new markets to Las Vegas and Cancun, which are scheduled to begin in February and March 2023.
