McNeil joins Hurtigruten Expeditions as SVP Expeditions Product & Guest Experience

TORONTO — Toronto-based Alex McNeil is joining Hurtigruten Expeditions as SVP Expeditions Product and Guest Experience.

McNeil will develop Hurtigruten Expeditions’ next generation of expedition cruises with even more depth and destination partnerships at the core of the experience, says the company.

A pioneer in the expedition industry since 2007, McNeil has completed more than 100 expeditions, including reaching the geographic North Pole on 14 separate occasions. He has sailed on more than a dozen different expedition vessels and completed trips by land and aircraft. He’s also created industry-first itineraries, immersive shore excursion experiences, and the first expedition cruise products developed in full partnership with indigenous communities.

McNeil will assume his new role as SVP Expeditions Product and Guest Experience next month. His previous role was as Director of Expedition Experience and Innovation at Quark Expeditions.
