Maritime Travel acquires Elan Travel in Prince Rupert and Terrace, BC

HALIFAX — Halifax-based Maritime Travel has expanded its footprint in British Columbia with the purchase of Elan Travel in Prince Rupert and Terrace.

The addition of these two long-time agencies brings to 18 the total number of Maritime Travel agencies throughout B.C.

“We’re excited to welcome these experienced teams to Maritime Travel,” said Gary Gaudry, President of Maritime Travel. “Elan Travel has been serving these communities well for more than 40 years, and with their experience in both business and leisure travel, they are a great fit for us.”

Maritime Travel, in business since 1949, has more than 90 agencies across Canada and was recently named a Platinum Club winner of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. Prior to that, it had been named one of Canada’s Best Managed companies every year since 1998. The company operates as LeGrow’s Travel in Newfoundland and Labrador.
