Dan Coyle promoted to Executive VP, United States and Canada of Preferred Hotels

NEW YORK — Preferred Hotels & Resorts has promoted Dan Coyle to Executive Vice President, United States and Canada.

With more than 25 years of sales and development experience, Coyle first joined Preferred in 2002 as Regional Director of Global Sales and was promoted to Area Managing Director of Americas East just two years later. In his new role as Executive Vice President, he will lead the brand’s strategic direction in the U.S. and Canada to ensure the success of more than 250 member properties. He’ll report directly to Michelle Woodley, President of Preferred Hotels & Resorts.

Said Woodley: “Throughout his near 20-year tenure at Preferred, Dan has been committed to delivering effective support to hotel owners and asset management companies across North America, nurturing key relationships to deliver tailored hotel solutions and positively impact the size and scope of hotel portfolios brought into members.

“His leadership style and keen understanding of on-property operations, sales and distribution in the independent hotel space are valuable resources that will drive further development in the United States and Canada, and ultimately, boost revenue to our member hotels.”

Drawing on his operational experience as Area Managing Director of North America, Coyle will lead a team of regional directors based out of New York City, Newport Beach in California, Chicago, Washington D.C., Miami and Toronto with the goal of enhancing the company’s footprint in secondary and tertiary destinations. He will be based in New York City.
