Discover the World named GSA for Tradewind Voyages

TORONTO — Tradewind Voyages has appointed Discover the World as its general sales agent (GSA) tasked with sales and marketing in Canada and the United States.

Alan McGrory, CEO of Tradewind Voyages, said the company is “delighted” to open up sales to travellers from North America for the first time.

“We are thrilled to offer our guests the opportunity to experience the smaller ports of call and to visit so many beautiful destinations in the Caribbean,” he said. “We thank our agent partners and their clients for their support and hope that our Safe Sailing policy will instill further confidence in booking with us.”

Jane Clementino, Director of Discover Canada, added: “We feel extremely privileged to represent the world’s largest tall ship and work side by side with Tradewind Voyages. This unique sailing experience creates an unprecedented vacation opportunity for travellers.”

The appointment comes in conjunction with the launch of Tradewind’s 2021/2022 Caribbean Cruise Program, which kicks off with Golden Horizon’s inaugural voyage in Barbados on Nov. 11. The world’s largest tall ship, Golden Horizon will offer 21 roundtrips in the region between Nov. 11 and March 31. Sailing protocols have been implemented, including a fully COVID-19 vaccinated policy and pre-boarding antigen testing (complimentary).

Voyages include ‘Undiscovered Caribbean,’ ‘Caribbean’s Hidden Gems’ and ‘Icons of the Caribbean.’
