MIAMI — Playa Hotels & Resorts has announced the completion of a $44 million renovation at Sanctuary Cap Cana, with new suites, reimagined restaurants and an expanded spa.

“Since opening its doors, Sanctuary Cap Cana has served as an exclusive oasis for travelers from all over the world,” said Kevin Froemming, Executive VP and Chief Marketing Officer, Playa Hotels & Resorts. “The resort is synonymous with luxury, comfort and excellence in hospitality, and this restoration will ensure the property retains its legendary status after implementing upgrades that exceed the expectations of a five-star destination.”

Situated on the eastern tip of the island and just 15 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, Sanctuary Cap Cana spans more than 20 tropical acres, including 2,100 feet of oceanfront.

The guest experience begins with the resort’s porte cochère which flows into the completely reimagined lobby, complete with a spectacular new custom chandelier made of selenite salt crystals.
