AMResorts slashes prices & hands out resort coupons for the holidays

AMResorts adds more perks to “record-breaking” AMRewards program

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — AMResorts is offering travel agents new perks and redeemable items as it celebrates a strong first half of the year for AMRewards, the hotel company’s travel agent loyalty program.

AMResorts says the Canadian and U.S. markets continue to outpace previous years, with a 65% increase in total bookings entered into AMRewards year over year.

Meanwhile more than 29,000 travel agents have registered for AMRewards and redeemed US$17 million worth of rewards to date.

AMResorts says it is constantly gathering feedback from the field to further enhance the program. Based on this, new privileges added for 2017 to further support the travel agent community include:

  • Discounts on transfers and excursions when booked in conjunction with an AMRewards stay
  • Branded tote bags, perfect ‘thank you’ gifts for clients or groups
  • 5% cash back when shopping at select retailers with the new AMRewards Visa prepaid card

Agents can also look forward to an all-new online booking engine, set to launch later this year. Agents will be able to source availability and redeem points in one easy step, says the company. Plus, the booking engine will provide even faster confirmation times and eliminate the need for stay certificates.

“Our success is based on the incredible, ongoing support of our Travel Agent Advisory Board and the agent community at large, as they drive us to consistently innovate AMRewards,” said Jan LaPointe, Vice President of Strategic Planning Retail Sales North America, AMRewards and Sales & Marketing for Canada.

“We encourage our travel professionals to continuously participate in the program so they can be identified as our top sellers and therefore, be considered for FAM trips or recognition events.”

Designed with the goal of providing agents with tools to help boost their selling capabilities, the AMRewards program is consistently reviewed and enhanced to support continued growth and ensure satisfaction, she added.
Launched in 2014, AMRewards allows agents to earn points with each booking that can be used for co-branded marketing materials, such as banner displays and gift vouchers clients can use towards perks, like spa treatments or romantic dinners, at our resorts.

Agents can also redeem points for complimentary nights at AMResorts properties, allowing them to become more familiar with the resorts and in turn sell more effectively.

All travel agents residing and conducting business in the U.S. and Canada with a valid IATA, ARC, TRUE or CLIA number are eligible to participate in the AMRewards program.
