This man thought he was on the wrong plane, then does this

NEW JERSEY — Among the many tales of “Stupid people doing stupid things”, a 25-year-old male passenger onboard a United Airlines flight may have just taken the cake.

Troy Fattum, who recently boarded a flight from New Jersey to Tampa, Florida, began shouting that he was on the wrong plane after making his way to his seat. Rather than do what most people would do in a situation like this (notify a flight attendant and ask politely to get off the plane), Fattum did the unthinkable – he opened the emergency exit door and slid down the inflatable slide.

Oh no, he didn’t! Oh yes, he did!

His Great Escape caused the flight to be delayed for hours, and led to his arrest for criminal mischief, trespassing and interference with transportation.

But the most outrageous part of this story isn’t his slide to ‘freedom’, or his humiliating arrest on the tarmac. It’s the fact that upon closer inspection of his ticket, police determined that Fattum was, in fact, on the right plane.
