Kensington Tours shatters pre-pandemic sales figures

TORONTO — Kensington Tours is off to an incredible start in 2023, shattering pre-pandemic sales figures in the first two months of the year.

Results for January 2023 were 50% higher when compared to the same period in January 2020, and were double from what they were in January 2019.

For February, sales were also double from those in February 2020, and 85% higher than in February 2019.

“It is truly gratifying to see that our commitment to providing travellers with tailor-made, personalized trips to destinations around the world is unmatched in the luxury travel space,” said Helen Giontsis, President of Kensington Tours.

“It is also a testament to our product team and Destination Experts who have worked so hard to ensure that we have the best partners and suppliers in the luxury travel space with the best private guides, top luxury hotels, private villas, and unique experiences with exclusive insider access. We are also grateful to our partners in the travel advisor community who entrust us to provide memorable, customize trips for their clients,” she added.

According to the tour operator, which currently offers over 600 itineraries in more than 90 countries worldwide, the record-breaking results reflect the upward trend of more personalized and customized experiences, as well as the shift towards longer stays and willingness to increase spend for higher-end, tailor-made itineraries.

The destinations leading this growth include Europe, where Italy, France, Greece, Spain, England, Scotland and Ireland are in greatest demand. In addition, since the ban on international arrivals was lifted in October 2022, Japan has seen significant demand, as well as other destinations that were among the last to ease travel requirements such as Australia and New Zealand.

Egypt, which was one of Kensington Tours’ picks for hot destinations in 2023, is also contributing to the company’s strong sales performance, as well as other parts of the Middle East and Africa, namely Israel and South Africa.

Kensington Tours has launched several new exclusive products, including Beyond Villas by Kensington Tours, a private villa portfolio featuring unique in-destination experiences ranging from private-guided tours to yacht charters.

For those who prefer a holiday on the water, Kensington’s team of yacht specialists work with clients to curate an itinerary that includes land experiences, luxury transfers, hotel and villa stays, and private jet and helicopter transfers. Kensington Tours already recently expanded its cruise offerings with Voyages by Kensington Tours that includes more than 15 cruise partners across Expedition, River and Ocean journeys. Voyages pairs the client’s cruise of choice with pre- and post-cruise experiences that are privately guided and fully customized to destinations throughout Europe, Alaska, Antarctica, Asia, Galapagos, Egypt and the Arctic.

Also popular are Kensington Tours’ Personal Heritage Journeys, launched in partnership with and offering personalized, private tours that provide families an opportunity to explore their roots.
