JAPEX going virtual, scheduled for Nov. 9 – 10

TORONTO — Like just about everything else, JAPEX is going virtual this year, with an online event scheduled for Nov. 9 – 10.

Hosted by the Jamaica Tourist Board in partnership with the Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association, JAPEX will include a keynote address focused on the status and resiliency of Jamaica’s tourist industry.

Participants can also check in with interactive booths with shareable content and chat functionality.

The show floor will be configured as an interactive Google map by region: Negril, South Coast, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, Kingston, Portland. Videos will auto-play to engage attendees as they enter each region.

A one-on-one Zoom meeting platform will allow attendees to pre-schedule meetings with travel partners.

The scheduling software includes:

  • Instant Scheduler: Users can book meetings instantly on Suppliers calendar through direct scheduling page
  • Auto Scheduler: Instantly find times that are still available in both parties’ calendars. The meeting rooms are powered by Zoom with all the functionality including video, screen share, messaging, etc.
  • A Prize Center
  • A Networking Lounge

Registration is now open. Registration closes Oct. 21 for suppliers, buyers and marketplace exhibitors/advertisers, and Nov. 9 for travel advisors, meeting planners and media.

Appointment scheduling opens Oct. 22 and closes Oct. 30.
