Grupo Piñero plans a new Luxury Bahia Principe hotel on Aruba’s Baby Beach

PALMA DE MALLORCA — Grupo Piñero has announced plans to build a resort on Aruba, with an expected opening date in summer of 2016. The company says the development will comply with the chain’s “highest standards of luxury and exclusivity under the Luxury Bahia Principe Don Pablo Collection brand”.

Aruba’s Deputy Prime Minister Mike de Meza and Grupo Piñero President Pablo Piñero recently signed the agreement for the new development. “It is extremely good news for our country, because it contributes to the island’s economic development,” said Aruba’s Tourism Minister Otmar Oduber.

The Luxury Bahia Principe Baby Beach Don Pablo Collection will have 950 rooms, including 908 Junior Suites and 42 Suites. Facilities will include the Pueblo Príncipe leisure complex, a theatre, a casino, several specialty restaurants, a gym, a spa, sports courts and more. The plans also include designing specialized spaces and services for specific segments such as weddings, groups, corporate incentive trips and families.

The new resort will be located on the Seroe Colorado coast in the southern town of San Nicolás. Baby Beach will lend its name to the new hotel complex.

Grupo Piñero’s Bahia Principe hotel chain is already a presence in the D.R., the Riviera Maya, Jamaica and Spain.
