G Adventures’ next virtual trip is May 5 to Central America & Mexico

TORONTO — G Adventures is continuing with its Virtual Travel Experiences, aimed at keeping travellers inspired, connected and dreaming of their next getaway.

The virtual small group tours are led by CEOs who take 16 ‘travellers’ on a cross country experience, during which they will experience five different locations in just under an hour. Travellers will receive food and drink pairing recommendations in advance, “meet” their fellow travellers in a live Zoom room and interact with their CEO in real time.

Hot on the heels of its first virtual live small group tour to Italy, which drew in more than 750 virtual travellers globally over two departures, G Adventures has announced Central America and Mexico as the next destination, to be led by chief experience officer (CEO), Jon.

The virtual trip takes place on Tuesday, May 5 at 12 p.m. (EST). Virtual travellers can sign up here.

G Adventures says travellers looking to familiarize themselves with the region before they virtually head off can also listen to a new, pre-recorded virtual walking tour of Antigua, Guatemala. Travellers can join Jon on a tour of the city to learn about some of Antigua’s best-kept secrets, stunning lookouts, and local eats by following this link.

G Adventures is also bringing social media fans new virtual moments. Inspired by ‘Your Moments’ experiences on G Adventures tours, virtual moments cover everything from cooking and wellness to hands-on learning experiences.

These will be broadcast once a week, live on G Adventures’ Facebook and Instagram channels. The next virtual moment is a salsa lesson with CEO Ando, from Ecuador, and will be broadcast on Sunday May 3 at 2 p.m. EDT.

This will be followed by a Vietnamese cooking lesson live from Hanoi on Sunday, May 10 at 8 p.m. EDT.

Finally, “to bring a much-needed dose of humour to our Zoom calls”, G Adventures is also introducing animated, animal-themed virtual backdrops. Click here to download.

G Adventures says it will continue to add elements and destinations to the new Virtual Travel Experiences. For more information see www.gadventures.com/blog.
