MONTREAL — FlightHub has new tourism stats and indicators of travel trends in the second edition of its Unveiled list based on booking data from October 2024 through June 2025.
Not surprisingly, given Japan’s soaring popularity, the OTA has tapped Tokyo as the breakout destination of the year, with a 56% increase in bookings compared to 2024.
Las Vegas on the other hand saw a sharp decline, dropping by 40% compared to last year.

- Puerto Vallarta has become a leading destination for Baby Boomers, with 32% of FlightHub’s Puerto Vallarta bookings coming from this age group
- Cancun ranked highest for girls’ trips, with one in six total bookings to the city made by female groups, while Medellín, Colombia emerged as the top destination for men travelling in groups, securing more than double the share seen in most other popular destinations
- Domestic travel remained strong, with Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary topping the list of most booked Canadian destinations, followed by Edmonton, Montreal and Winnipeg
Up and coming destinations for 2025 and beyond include Doha, Boracay, Banff, Lima, Busan and Vis. The list also includes Hammamet, San Blas, Vienna and Puglia.
