Legend of the Seas

Royal Caribbean counts down to Legend of the Seas’ summer 2026 debut

MIAMI — Royal Caribbean has unveiled new details about its newest Icon Class ship, Legend of the Seas, set to debut in July 2026.

Sailing to top destinations in Europe and the Southern Caribbean, Legend of the Seas will feature eight distinct neighbourhoods, 28 dining venues, Broadway-calibre entertainment and the largest waterpark at sea.

“With Legend of the Seas, we are bringing to life our most legendary vacation yet as we continue to push the boundaries with more of what guests know and love,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean. “Those looking to get the most out of their vacation can have it all with Legend’s combination of adventure-packed experiences and incredible destinations in Europe and the Caribbean.”

NEW DINING CONCEPTS

The ship will introduce several new culinary experiences. At Royal Railway – Legend Station, first introduced on Utopia of the Seas, guests will follow the travels of explorer Marco Polo on a five-course expedition of flavours through China, India, Italy and more.

Another new concept, the Hollywoodland Supper Club, takes inspiration from the golden age of cinema with gourmet dining, cocktails, live jazz and performances that evoke the glamour of early 20th-century Hollywood.

AquaDome Market, the Icon Class favourite food hall, returns with five new all-day food stands, along with a brand new juice and smoothie bar. Rounding out the new dining lineup are Surfside Eatery and Basecamp in Thrill Island, Chops Grille, Izumi and Hooked Seafood.

NIGHTLIFE & ENTERTAINMENT

The cruise line is introducing new evening entertainment options across its venues. The highlight will be the Broadway musical Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, making its debut at sea in the Royal Theater.

Guests can also expect large-scale productions at the AquaTheater in the AquaDome neighbourhood, featuring divers, aerialists, dancers and robotic elements, as well as shows in Absolute Zero, billed as the largest ice arena at sea.

More than 20 bars and lounges will round out the nightlife options, including Lou’s for jazz music, Dueling Pianos for live singalongs, and 1400 Lobby Bar, known for its crafted cocktails.

LEGENDARY ADVENTURES

Adventure seekers can look forward to Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea, as well as Crown’s Edge, a hybrid skywalk and zip line suspended 154 feet above the ocean. Families can enjoy a redesigned Playscape, a new carousel concept in Surfside (the family-focused neighbourhood), and top-deck attractions like mini golf at Lost Dunes and the Adrenaline Peak rock-climbing wall.

Seven pools will cater to every mood, from the adults-only The Hideaway infinity pool and Swim & Tonic swim-up bar to the family-friendly Splashaway Bay and the expansive Royal Bay, the largest pool at sea.

Returning favourites from the Icon Class include the Royal Promenade with its floor-to-ceiling ocean views, Central Park featuring over 30,000 real plants, and The Pearl, described as the world’s largest kinetic art sculpture.

Accommodation options will range from luxury suites in the exclusive Suite Neighbourhood to the three-storey Ultimate Family Townhouse, offering space for families of all sizes.

EUROPE & CARIBBEAN VOYAGES

For its inaugural season in summer 2026, Legend of the Seas will sail seven-night Western Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona and Rome (Civitavecchia). Destinations include Provence (Marseille), Naples, and Palma de Mallorca, offering a blend of cultural exploration and coastal scenery.

In November 2026, the ship will reposition to Fort Lauderdale, offering six-night Western Caribbean and eight-night Southern Caribbean sailings. Ports of call will include Aruba, Curacao, and Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island destination featuring beaches, pools and thrill rides.
