TORONTO — Air France is marking an incredible 75 years of continuous service between Canada and Paris – and as part of the celebrations, the airline has launched a contest for its valued Canadian travel advisor partners.

Up for grabs is a pair of tickets from Canada to Paris on Air France in Economy Class.

Since 1950 Air France has played a significant role in transatlantic travel, supporting cultural, personal, and economic exchanges – and helping Canadians discover the world with a distinctive touch of French style and care.

The story began on Oct. 2, 1950, when Air France’s first regular direct flight between Paris and Montreal landed at Dorval airfield, marking the beginning of a lasting relationship between Canada and France.

Since that day the airline has continued to grow its presence in Canada, expanding its network from Montreal to include Toronto, Vancouver, Quebec City and Ottawa.

Today Air France operates up to 36 weekly flights between Canada and France during peak seasons.

The Montreal-Paris route, operated up to four times daily in summer, remains one of the airline’s longest-standing and most valued transatlantic connections.

Throughout the decades, Air France has continued to evolve, introducing new levels of comfort, cuisine, and service on board. From the earliest days of propeller-driven aircraft to today’s state-of-the-art Airbus A350s and Boeing 787s, the airline’s mission has consistently been to share the best of French innovation and hospitality with every traveller.

To mark this historic anniversary, Air France has launched a special contest exclusively for its travel agent partners across Canada. This initiative serves as a gesture of gratitude for the ongoing support, partnership, and dedication shown by travel professionals over the years. Travel agents have played a vital role in helping Air France welcome more than a million passengers between Canada and France each year. Their expertise and enthusiasm have enabled countless Canadians to explore new destinations in Paris, throughout France, and beyond.

Air France says its new contest for Canadian travel advisors “invites the winners to experience firsthand the comfort and service that continue to define Air France today.”
