Grenada’s Spice Island Beach Resort to remain closed through mid-June

GRAND ANSE BEACH, GRENADA — Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada will be extending its closure through June 15, 2020 in light of ongoing travel restrictions due to COVID-19.

According to Janelle Hopkin, president and managing director, the resort will continue to review its operations so that it is completely ready to reopen once government restrictions have been lifted. The reservations team will be available Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at (473) 444-4258 and at reservations@spicebeachresort.com.

“Welcoming our guests, from new faces to repeat friends, has always been our greatest joy and we miss having them as part of the Spice Island Beach Resort family,” she says. “We cannot wait to have our special visitors back in Grenada, their favourite home-away-from-home, once we are able to reopen.”

Hopkin encourages travellers to share their fondest memories of the resort and Grenada by using the hashtag #GrenadaDreaming, a new campaign launched in collaboration with the Grenada Tourism Authority.

“We ask our guests to use the same so that we can easily find your public posts showcasing your vacation at the resort, visiting a favorite attraction or anything that makes you dream of Spice Island Beach Resort and Grenada,” she adds. “As one of our loyal repeat guests has said. ‘the world may be different but we still think of Spice and walking the beach through the warm blue sea…obviously it is a virtual beachside walk, but we still do it.'”
