Flair launches middle-seat-free Comfort Choice option

Flair launches Go Travel Pass with 3 months of unlimited travel

EDMONTON — Flair Airlines has launched a new travel pass that it says will help Canadians connect with loved ones “without breaking the bank.”

Available from Feb. 13 to May 13, 2020, Flair’s Go Travel Pass includes three months of unlimited travel for less than the cost of one roundtrip flight on other airlines, according to Flair. Passengers can choose between a basic and unlimited package to suit their travel needs.

“We are thrilled to offer our passengers the freedom and flexibility to travel with our unlimited pass,” said Sarah Riches. “Whether you are a student who needs to visit home, a small business owner on a budget, a family needing to connect or an adventure seeker looking for your next thrill, all Canadians deserve to travel without hesitation. This pass is for the people and speaks to our mission of making air travel more accessible, affordable and desirable for all.”

Flair Airlines flew nearly one million passengers in 2019 and has targeted to fly 1.5 million this year.

At the height of the low-cost carrier’s expansion, in early 2018, Flair said it was seeing “a surprising amount” of bookings from travel agents.

Asked this morning if the Go Travel Pass is commissionable to travel agents, Flair spokesperson Raelene Coffey had this to say: “This is a limited time offer and a self-serve model where passengers do their own bookings. We are looking into working closely with our travel agents and I’ll [advise] if the program changes for travel agent commissions.”
