VISIT DENVER appoints Pulse Travel Marketing as official PR reps in Canada

TORONTO — Canadians can expect to see a lot more of the Mile High City now that VISIT DENVER has appointed Pulse Travel Marketing as its new in-market representative.

The agency will work with the Visit Denver staff and in-state partners to ensure that the destination is prominently positioned with the travel, consumer and key distribution media channels in Canada. This will include the development and implementation of a strategic communications program to increase visibility and keep the city top of mind.

Canada is Colorado’s number one source of international visitors and nonstop international flights on several carriers, including WestJet and Air Canada, which have increased access to its capital. The city of Denver welcomed more than 31 million visitors in 2018, making tourism one of its largest industries. It was recently named 2020’s #1 city to visit in the world by ‘Rough Guides’, and is home to acclaimed museums, art-centric neighbourhoods, and thriving culinary and beer scenes.

“As Denver continues its ascension among the top visitor destinations in the world, we have enlisted Pulse Communications to help us develop a public relations strategy designed to grow our presence in Canada,” said Jesse Davis, director of public relations and communications for VISIT DENVER. “We are confident the expertise and market knowledge they bring to the table will help us accomplish our goal of inspiring more Canadian travellers to come and explore The Mile High City.”

Sana Keller and Annika Klint, Managing Partners for Pulse Travel Marketing, added: “We look forward to working even more closely with media partners and the travel industry across Canada to attract and increase numbers of Canadian travellers to Denver. Canadians will be amazed at the diversity of this city as well as the unique neighbourhoods, arts, culture and outdoor experiences available in Colorado’s capital city. We can’t wait to begin our work.”
