Video shows man driving his truck into hotel over bill dispute

Dealing with rude customers is part of the job when working in hospitality, but this is way over the line. A security camera at the Alva Comfort Inn and Suites in Oklahoma captures a Texas man named John Edward Parsley intentionally crashing his pickup truck into their lobby last week, narrowly missing two front-desk employees.

Yahoo reported the man was demanding a refund after his credit card was declined twice and he was forced to pay cash. The report said he threatened to “run his truck over them and the property.” After he did crash his truck, Parsley calmly walked out with his hands raised. He followed through on the threat because “[the employees] thought he was bluffing, and he proved he wasn’t.”.

Parsley is currently being held in jail on $1 million bond. He’s facing two felony counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count of malicious injury to property valued at more than $1,000.
