Evidence of the latest threat to the Canadian retail travel sector is probably right in your own wallet. It’s your Costco membership card.
TORONTO — Tourism Ireland has appointed Sandra Moffatt, a native of Dublin, as its new Trade Promotions and Digital Marketing Executive in Canada.
In her new role, Moffatt will help plan and implement a trade marketing activities with Canadian travel partners, tour operators and airlines, as well as manage digital communications in order to grow both leisure and business tourism travel from Canada to Ireland.
Dana Welch, Manager at Tourism Ireland, said the team is “delighted” to have Moffatt onboard.
“She has a strong knowledge of destination marketing and the travel industry, and brings a wealth of digital communications experience to the role,” said Welch. “Last year the island of Ireland welcomed a record number of Canadian visitors and we look forward to continued growth as we roll out our year-round marketing program designed to continue this momentum in 2018.”
