NEW YORK — The sound of babies crying was music to the ears of passengers on a recent Jet Blue flight from New York to Long Beach.

That’s because with every cry passengers were told they would receive 25% off their next Jet Blue flight. The promotion, timed for the run-up to Mother’s Day and announced by Jet Blue staff over the PA system once the plane was airborne.
