WestJet makes it into Alberta’s top 3 places to work

CALGARY — WestJet has been named one of Alberta’s top three workplaces in the province by Indeed, one of the world’s leading job sites.

Based on the site’s hundreds of thousands of company reviews, WestJet earned an overall star rating of 4.1 out of 5, scoring high marks in five categories: Work/Life Balance (3.7); Salary/Benefits (3.6); Job Security/Advancement (3.6); Management (3.6); and Culture (4.2).

WestJet was the only aviation company in Indeed’s rankings. Only Suncor and Husky Energy beat out the carrier for the #1 and #2 spot, respectively.

On what makes the WestJet team so strong, Mark Porter, WestJet Executive Vice President, People and Culture, said: “Our passionate, caring attitude for each other, our guests and our business are what binds more than 13,000 WestJet employees together as a team. We are proud to be recognized as one of the top three places to work in Alberta. As we continue to invest in Alberta as our home and international aviation hub, we look forward to growing our team both here and across the network.”
